The Deco Heritage and Performing Arts Center
Located in the heart of Redlands, The Deco draws from the city’s tradition of blending architectural eras, allowing it to sit comfortably within an eclectic and historically layered streetscape. Its placement near several entertainment districts and venues strengthens this connection, letting the building feel like a natural extension of the city’s vibrant social and cultural rhythm.

This Art Deco Performing Arts Center is shaped like an unfolding fan, using its radiating form to draw visitors into the glamour of the Golden Age of performance. As guests move inward, the architecture gradually shifts from the everyday to a cinematic sense of anticipation and spectacle. At the core of the building sits a Grand Theater, which offers a comfortable and elegant experience for viewers. The building’s symmetry, lighting, and bold motifs work together to revive the elegance and optimism that defined early 20th-century theater culture.
