Schindler Chace House Pavilion Addition

The Schindler Chase House is a historic residence designed by Rudolph Schindler and now serves as the headquarters of the MAK Center for Arts and Architecture. In this design challenge, students were asked to develop an entrance pavilion that introduces visitors to the site while providing space for a gallery, administrative functions, and caretaker needs. The goal was to create a supportive structure that enhances the visitor experience without distracting from or competing with the Schindler House, ensuring that the historic building remains the central focus of the site.
